Frequently Asked Questions

The questions Washington homeowners ask us most — about pricing, scheduling, warranties, and how exterior work actually goes.

What areas does Garcias Home Improvements serve?

We serve Western Washington, including Tacoma, Seattle, Bellevue, Everett, Kent, Renton, Federal Way, Puyallup, Auburn, and Olympia, plus surrounding Puget Sound communities. If you're nearby but don't see your city, call us — we likely cover it.

Are you licensed, bonded, and insured in Washington?

Yes. Garcias Home Improvements is a registered Washington State contractor, bonded and insured as required by Washington law. You can verify any contractor's registration on the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries website.

Do you offer free estimates?

Yes — every inspection and estimate is free, in writing, and line-itemed so you can see exactly what you're paying for. We never charge to look at a roof or siding problem.

How much does a new roof cost in Washington?

Most composition shingle roof replacements on single-family homes in Western Washington fall between $10,000 and $25,000 depending on size, pitch, layers to remove, and deck condition. Metal roofs typically run 2–3× composition. We provide exact written quotes after a free inspection.

Do you help with insurance claims for storm damage?

Yes. We document damage with photos and written findings, meet adjusters on site when needed, and complete repairs to the approved scope. The claim itself is between you and your insurer, but we make sure the damage is fully documented.

What warranties do you offer?

Two layers: the manufacturer's material warranty (up to 50 years on many architectural shingle lines, 30+ on fiber cement siding) and our own written workmanship warranty covering the installation itself.

Do you work in winter or during the rainy season?

Yes — exterior contractors in Washington work year-round. We stage work so your home is never left exposed, and off-season scheduling is often faster.

How soon can you come out for an active leak?

Active leaks get priority scheduling — usually within a few days, and we can tarp the damaged area immediately to stop further water intrusion.
